Questions regarding our company's products
Q1:

Why BOB Retail System cannot connect cash drawer?

A: 

Please check the power supply and cable of cash drawer is insert properly, then choose the suitable model of cash drawer (VIC-PO-C59 / PCD-005R) and Com Port (COM 1 / COM 2) in the COM Port Setting of the program.

Q2:

Can I edit the company name and address after registration?

A: 

No. As your company setting cannot different with ours, otherwise your system cannot be run. If you want to do so, please contact our staff to retrieve a new registration code.

Q3:

Can the number (invoice / sales) be made myself?

A: 

BOB Manager: Invoice, Purchases, Stock In and Quotation can set up the beginning number, and each number can only be set once. BOB Retail System: Invoice and Purchases can set up the beginning number, and also each number can only be set once.

Q4:

Can I input the Invoice number and Purchases number?

A: 

You can't, all the number are automat by computer.

Q5:

Can I use the same product code in one Invoice / Purchases?

A: 

In BOB Manager, BOB SME Trading System & BOB Retail System can repeat the product code in one invoice, and can set different selling price. But in Purchases, the product code cannot be the same.

Q6:

What can I do if I can't save the record?

A: 

You can go to maintain and try to do reindex, if still had any problems, please contact us.

What is the user name and password?

A:

Q8:

How to install the program?

A: 

In the user guide chapter 3, you can find how to install the program, if the program is install unsuccessful, please contact us.

Q9:

How to upgrade the program?

A: 

First, backup the program data and then change the folder name of the program. After that, install the upgrade version, and run the program, enter the default username and password. At the maintenance, use the restore function for restore data then upgrade is completed.

Q10: How to register BOB Manager 2000 Version 3.0, BOB Trade, and BOB Selling System?
A:  Please fill in the information

1. on the Product Registration Card, then fax or mail it to our company with your receipt;

OR

2. on this web page [registration].

We will contact you for the software authorization code.

Q11:

After obtaining the registration code from your company, the window appears "Registration code is wrong, please contact our company"

A: 

When you fill in the information of company setting, please make sure the Company name (Chinese/ English), Telephone and Fax number are consistent with the fax we fax to you, especially:

1. Whether there's space in each character of the Chinese company name.

2. Whether the capital letter is the same in the English company name.

3. Whether there's dot after the short form of the English company name.

4. Whether there 's "(852)" before the telephone and fax number; whether there's space or hyphenation in-between the telephone and fax number.

Q12:

Can I edit the company name and address after registration?

A: 

No. As your company setting cannot different with ours, otherwise your system cannot be run. If you want to do so, please contact our staff to retrieve a new registration code.

Q13:

Does the BOB Selling System have multi-location version?

A: 

Our professional programmers are endeavoring to develop the multi-location version to meet the market needs. Please pay attention to our website for the latest version.

Q14:

The printer setting in the BOB Selling System is [Normal Printer (A4/2)], but why the print out is still in A4 size?

A: 

In the Printer Setting of the Windows, customize paper size in the default printer.

Q15: I have bought BOB Manager 2000 Version 3.0. Can I install the software at the computer at my office and at my notebook computer at the same time?
A:  BOB Manager Version 3.0 Standard Version is intended to be used on a single machine only. You need to buy another copy in this case.
Q16: Can I change the layout of receipts?
A:  We can change the layout of receipts in the program to fit your need. Charges will depend on the complexity. Please contact us for further information.
 
General Questions
Q1: The content of my email is displayed with symbols, why?
A:  This is because the language encoding is not local. If you are using Internet Explorer 5 or above, you can change the language encoding from the VIEW menu and select ENCODING. You can use other third party software such as Richwin, NJSTAR to change these language encoding.
 
Q2: Why do my Windows 98 shutdown take so long?
A:  This is because there are some background process such as WINFAX, NORTON SYSTEM WORK, etc., still running in the background. You can close these background processes before shutting down Windows.
Q3: Why WINDOWS 98 Second Edition cannot shutdown?
A:  You can download the patches here to fix the problem.
